"We're on
the job, so you can be on the water..."

Captain Mark Colby
| Captain Mark Colby has
voyaged extensively around the world. He has sailed the Caribbean
Sea as mate aboard Romance, a 100’ Brigantine, sailed the
Pacific Ocean from the Arctic to Antarctica aboard a US Coast
Guard Icebreaker, and has worked the oil fields in the Gulf
of Mexico and the Sea of Biafra. As a private yacht captain
aboard a Grand Banks 52 he visited many of the “secret and
special places” he discovered while cruising local waters
as a boy. He has delivered vessels of all sizes and types
along the Gulf and East coasts of the United States and Canada.
Small boat training, both sail and power, along with the teaching
of navigation and seamanship has always been a rewarding part
of Mark’s boating experience. Mark holds a Master of Education
degree from the University of Southern Maine as well as a
US Coast Guard Master license of 1600 gross tons, Steam and
Engine and a Auxiliary Sail Master’s license of 100 gross
tons. |
